Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2, 2026
Here is the plain-English version of what happens to your information on this website. Monarch Patios & Outdoors (“Monarch”, “we”, “us”) is a family-run design and build company, so we kept this short and skipped the legalese where we could.
What you tell us
Our contact form collects the details you type in: first and last name, email, phone number, ZIP code, the service you want, a budget range, when you hope to start, and a message. Send as much or as little as you like. We use it to get back to you, set up a walkthrough and, if we end up building together, plan the job.
Submissions pass through Basin, a form service that catches each one and forwards it to our inbox. The company explains its practices in Basin’s privacy policy.
Automated spam targets contact forms, so the form on our contact page also runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a quick check that a real person is typing. To decide, Cloudflare looks at technical details from your device and browser, including your IP address. Cloudflare’s own policy spells out the rest.
Calling or emailing us works the same way: we see your number or address and whatever you say, and we use it to help you.
How we watch the site
We want to know which pages help and which ones trip people up, so we run three tools.
- Google Analytics 4 leaves cookies in your browser. Behind the scenes it tallies page views, referrers, a ballpark location taken from your IP address, and the kind of device and browser you use. Calls started from the phone number on our pages and visits to the contact page from our links get their own tally. Google explains what it does with this data on its partner sites page.
- Microsoft Clarity drops cookies too, then follows clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement and builds session recordings and heatmaps from them, which we replay to spot confusing pages. Microsoft says form-field text is hidden from Clarity’s recordings unless it is configured otherwise. For Microsoft’s long version, open its statement on privacy.
- Pirsch counts visits without cookies. As Pirsch describes it, your device stores nothing, and visits are distinguished by an anonymized ID that is swapped out daily. It also records clicks on links that leave our site and downloads of files, not only page visits. Pirsch publishes its own privacy policy if you want the fine print.
What you choose in the analytics choices section below controls those two. Pirsch sets no cookies (per Pirsch), so it keeps running no matter what you pick.
The map on our service-area page
The map on the service area page pulls its tiles and place labels straight from OpenFreeMap, a free mapping service. Your browser makes that request itself, which means OpenFreeMap gets your IP address and normal browser details. We pass nothing about you along.
Where the site lives
This site is hosted by Netlify. To send you each page, Netlify handles your IP address and browser details, and it may log requests on its servers. Netlify’s privacy policy explains how it handles that data.
Links to other sites
Some links on this site go elsewhere, for example to our financing partner, Lyon Financial. If we link to our social profiles or to Google Maps, the same applies to them. Once you click through, that site’s own privacy policy applies, not this one.
Your analytics choices
We begin with analytics switched on. The first time you visit, a small notice at the bottom of the screen says so and gives you Accept and Decline.
- Accept says yes to both tools, so they carry on as usual.
- Decline and Google Analytics is turned off. Microsoft Clarity gets a request to stop using cookies, though it may still log anonymous, cookie-free session data.
- If you don’t pick, and keep browsing instead, four things count as a yes: reading about a quarter of a page, opening any other page on this site, reloading the page, or heading off to a different site. Opening the Privacy Policy or the Terms of Service never does.
- Some browsers announce Global Privacy Control. When yours does, we treat it as a no before you touch anything. Both tools wait for a press of Accept before they load, and nothing else you do is read as a yes.
You can revisit the choice whenever you like through Your Privacy Choices at the bottom of every page. The choice is stored only in your browser. Clear your browser’s local storage and the notice shows up again. Your browser’s cookie settings give you another lever, and Google offers its own opt-out add-on.
Who else sees it
Your information is not for sale. The companies named above touch it only so the form works, spam stays out, we can measure the site, the map draws and the pages stay online. A legal demand is the one other reason we would pass it along.
How long we keep it
We hold on to form submissions and our conversations with you for as long as we need to answer you, finish the work, stand behind it and keep the business and tax records the law asks for. Each analytics company sets its own retention period, so check their policies for that part.
Seeing or deleting what we have
Want to know what we hold about you, or want it gone? Email hello@monarch-patios.com and we will look into it. We may need to keep some records, such as those tied to a project or to taxes. The analytics companies hold their own data, so ask them directly about that.
Children
This site is for homeowners and is not aimed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect anything from them.
When this page changes
If we add a new form or tool, or change how something works, we will update this page and the date at the top.
