Outdoor kitchens that won't rot in five years.
Cinder-block + stone construction. Stainless components, sealed countertops, gas and electrical run to code. We build kitchens you’ll cook in, not the kind that look great on day one and rust on day 700.
Typical projects $18K – $85K · 3–6 week builds
Owner-operated by Armando, Jose & Cris — Houston-licensed, every gas line pressure-tested and permitted.
What lands in your Monarch proposal.
Wood-framed outdoor kitchens fail in Houston. Termites, humidity, and rain swelling crack the cabinet skin within five years. We build with cinder block and stone for the box, stainless for the doors and components, and sealed concrete or natural stone for the counter.
- Cabinet box: cinder block (CMU) construction, full-bed mortar, no wood framing
- Stone veneer: full-bed natural or manufactured stone — no adhesive-only veneers
- Counter: sealed concrete or natural stone, 1.5" minimum thickness, waterproofed edge
- Grill + appliances: stainless 304 throughout — Lynx, Wolf, Coyote, or DCS per selection
- Gas line: black iron from meter, pressure-tested, to code per Harris or Fort Bend
- Electrical: GFCI-protected outlets, dedicated circuit for appliances, conduit to panel
- Permits: gas + electrical permits pulled with Harris or Fort Bend; final inspection in scope
- Warranty: 2-year construction warranty, manufacturer warranties on all stainless
Build it like a real kitchen , not a stage set.
CMU box, full-bed stone veneer, sealed concrete counter. The structure outlives the house.
8’–14’ run with a return; fits most existing patios. Grill, side burner, prep counter, optional fridge.
Stone veneer sealed every 18 months. Stainless components lifetime under cover.
When you want the workhorse — the kitchen the family actually uses three nights a week.
16’–22’ total run with three faces; bar overhang for 3–5 stools at the cook face.
Grill, side burner, sink, beverage fridge, ice bin, optional kamado. Wired and plumbed for everything.
Cook faces the conversation, not the house. The layout changes how you entertain rather than hiding from it.
When you entertain regularly and want the cook to face the conversation, not a wall.
Forno Bravo, Chicago Brick Oven, or custom dome — wood, gas, or dual-fuel options.
Full-bed natural stone surround with a built-in wood crib and tool rack. Reads architectural.
Can reach 900°F. Two-minute pizza, seared fish, roasted vegetables — a different kind of outdoor cooking.
When you want a feature, not just a kitchen — something the family will gather around for the next twenty years.
Permanent roof above with stainless ducted hood. Cook in any weather without smoke pooling.
Structure, kitchen, hood, and electrical in a single bid. One permit, one crew, one schedule.
Adds livable square footage to the back yard. The kitchen becomes the anchor of an outdoor room.
When the kitchen is the main event and you want to cook in July without a sunburn or a rain delay.
Most outdoor kitchen projects we build land between $28K and $52K. Drivers are the appliance package, counter material, and whether a roof or pizza oven is in scope.
10’–12’ L-shape, grill, side burner, sealed counter, stone veneer, gas permit.
U-shape or bar layout, sink, fridge, ice bin, full electrical, all permits.
Full kitchen under a permanent structure with hood, pizza oven, or full appliance suite.

How a Monarch outdoor kitchen actually gets built.
Discovery
We walk the property with you, understand how you actually use the yard, and listen for the real ask behind the outdoor kitchen. No tape measures yet — just questions.
Design + Material Selection
You see plans drawn to your lot, materials laid out side by side, and a fixed-price proposal you can read in five minutes. We refine until it fits both the space and the budget.
Prep & Permit
We pull the permits, file with your HOA, and stage the site. Lawn edges and existing landscaping get protected before a single tool comes out.
Build
Owner-led crews on site daily. The same Curiel or Alvarez who quoted the project is the one you text when something comes up. Daily clean-up; no surprises.
We Come Back
Thirty days, ninety days, a year later — we check the joints, re-tighten what needs it, and answer the questions that surface once you’ve actually lived with the space.

Outdoor kitchens — the questions homeowners actually ask.
Wood frames trap moisture and feed termites in Houston. Within 3–5 years the cabinet skin separates and the box rots from the inside. Block-and-stone construction simply doesn’t have that failure mode.
Lynx, Wolf, Coyote, and DCS are the four we install most. They all carry serviceable parts in Houston, full-stainless burners, and lifetime warranties on the cook box. We’ll talk you through the BTU number that matches how you actually cook.
Yes — any new gas line and any new dedicated electrical circuit requires a permit. We pull both, schedule the inspection, and hand you the signed-off paperwork at the end.
Often yes. We verify the existing structure can carry the load (block kitchens are heavy), check ventilation, and confirm gas-line clearances before quoting. If it can’t, we’ll tell you and propose a minor reinforcement.
If the kitchen is more than 20 feet from the back door, yes. If it’s right next to the door, the value drops fast. Plumbing adds $2–4K and a day of trenching, so the calculus is honest.
Marine-grade 304 stainless on every appliance, monthly wipe-down with a citrus oil during the year-one cure, and we re-check the grill burner alignment at the 90-day return visit.
